What is Folder Lock?

Folder Lock® is a fast data encryption and password protection software for Windows. It can simultaneously encrypt, lock and password protect your files, folders, drives, USB drives and even CD/DVD-RW.

Folder Lock locks the computer if too many incorrect password attempts are made and keeps a log of them all.


Why Folder Lock?

If you are a casual PC user, and want to protect family photos, videos, pictures, financial information, passwords, personal letters and information that would be inappropriate for your kids, friends or co-workers.

You can increase the size of your Locker by simply using the Edit My Locker > Increase Locker Size option.

Folder Lock isn't required to run at all times

The Lockers can’t be deleted on the computer where Folder Lock is installed and Folder Lock can't be uninstalled without the correct password.

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

An Uninterruptible power supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, provides emergency power and, depending on the topology, line regulation as well to connected equipment by supplying power from a separate source when utility power is not available. It differs from an auxiliary or emergency power system or standby generator, which does not provide instant protection from a momentary power interruption. A UPS, however, can be used to provide uninterrupted power to equipment, typically for 5–15 minutes until an auxiliary power supply can be turned on, utility power restored, or equipment safely shut down.
